Responsibilities & Qualifications

Primary Responsibilities

Startup Planning & Execution

Develop and implement water treatment startup procedures and checklists.
Monitor and document progress.
Identify and mitigate potential risks.

Technical Coordination & Collaboration

Coordinate with other disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, and process engineering.
Provide technical guidance and support to the startup team.

System Testing & Validation

Perform system functional tests and performance testing.
Calibrate instruments and verify system accuracy.

Troubleshooting & Compliance

Troubleshoot and resolve water treatment system issues.
Ensure compliance with water quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Safety

Adhere to safety regulations and procedures.
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
5+ years of experience in water treatment plant operations and maintenance.
Strong understanding of water treatment processes, including filtration, coagulation, and disinfection.
Knowledge of water quality parameters and testing procedures.
Ability to operate and troubleshoot water treatment equipment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Willingness to work overtime and travel to project sites as needed.

Technical certifications in water treatment or environmental science.
Experience with specific water treatment technologies, such as reverse osmosis or ion exchange.
Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements.

Requirements

Ability to work independently.

Ability to complete multiple projects within time constraints.

Valid jurisdictional driver license.

Ability to work holidays, weekends, and overtime.

Ability to work both indoors and outdoors, requiring physical activity, including climbing ladders, working at elevations, bending, twisting, kneeling, crawling, pushing/pulling, standing, walking, and lifting 50 pounds.

Ability to work in areas that may be noisy, cold, hot, dirty, and able to wear personal protective equipment.
Ability to meet appropriate physical requirements as determined by corporate Health & Safety Department as prerequisites to perform certain tasks or training activities, for example, pulmonary function testing for respiratory protection, if required.
Must be legally eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
