Job Overview

A startup CRO (combined cycle) specialist performs the role of a Control Room Operator (CRO) for combined cycle power plants. They are responsible for the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the plant, specifically during startup and shutdown sequences. This is a highly specialized role that requires a deep understanding of gas turbines, steam turbines, heat recovery steam generators (HRSG), and all associated auxiliary equipment. 

As a startup CRO (combined cycle) working for APS Solutions, you will be responsible for the initial startup of the combined cycle power generating unit. You will monitor all critical parameters from the control room, ensuring that the gas turbine, HRSG, and steam turbine are brought online and synchronized to the grid according to strict operating procedures. Your duties will involve communication with field operators and supervisors to coordinate activities, troubleshoot anomalies, and maintain compliance with safety and environmental regulations until the unit is fully operational and handed over to the regular control room staff.
