Responsibilities & Qualifications

Primary Responsibilities

Site Supervision

Oversee daily construction activities, including earthworks, concrete work, and steel erection.
Ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and safety standards.
Monitor progress and identify potential issues.

Quality Control

Inspect materials and workmanship to ensure adherence to quality standards.
Conduct quality control tests and inspections.
Document quality control activities and issue reports.

Surveying & Setting Out

Use surveying equipment to establish site control and benchmarks.
Set out construction lines and levels.
Monitor deviations from design and take corrective actions.

Coordination

Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors.
Resolve site-related issues and conflicts.
Communicate effectively with the project team.

Safety

Adhere to and enforce safety regulations and procedures.
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Conduct safety inspections and toolbox talks.
Address safety hazards and implement corrective actions.
Promote a safety-first culture.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Experience in construction site supervision.
Strong understanding of construction methods and materials.
Proficiency in surveying and engineering software.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Professional Engineer (PE) license.
Experience with construction management software.
Knowledge of construction safety regulations.

Requirements

Basic computer skills.

Strong verbal, written, analytical and interpersonal skills.

Excellent customer, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently.

Ability to complete multiple projects within time constraints.

Strong organizational skills.

Valid jurisdictional driver license.

Ability to work holidays, weekends, and overtime.

Ability to work both indoors and outdoors, requiring physical activity, including climbing ladders, working at elevations, bending, twisting, kneeling, crawling, pushing/pulling, standing, walking, and lifting 50 pounds.

Ability to work in areas that may be noisy, cold, hot, dirty, and able to wear personal protective equipment.
Ability to meet appropriate physical requirements as determined by corporate Health & Safety Department as prerequisites to perform certain tasks or training activities, for example, pulmonary function testing for respiratory protection, if required.
Must be legally eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
