Responsibilities & Qualifications

Primary Responsibilities

Installation & Alignment

Install and align steam turbines with extreme precision.
Ensure that components are positioned and assembled to exact tolerances.

Maintenance & Inspection

Perform precision maintenance and inspections.
Use specialized tools and techniques to identify and address minor issues that could affect turbine performance.
Work with advanced diagnostic tools.
Use sophisticated equipment to monitor turbine performance and identify potential problems.

Troubleshoot & Repair

Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical problems.
Diagnose and resolve intricate issues that require advanced technical knowledge.
Replace and install high-precision components.
Handle delicate and expensive parts with care and expertise.

Compliance

Adhere to strict quality control standards.
Ensure that all work meets the highest standards of precision and accuracy.

Safety

Adhere to safety regulations and procedures.
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Qualifications

Technical or vocational training in mechanical engineering or a related field.
Extensive experience working with steam turbines.
Advanced mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
A strong commitment to quality and precision.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Certification in precision machining or a related field. (Preferred)

Requirements

Ability to work independently.

Ability to complete multiple projects within time constraints.

Strong organizational skills.

Valid jurisdictional driver license.

Ability to work holidays, weekends, and overtime.

Ability to work both indoors and outdoors, requiring physical activity, including climbing ladders, working at elevations, bending, twisting, kneeling, crawling, pushing/pulling, standing, walking, and lifting 50 pounds.

Ability to work in areas that may be noisy, cold, hot, dirty, and able to wear personal protective equipment.
Ability to meet appropriate physical requirements as determined by corporate Health & Safety Department as prerequisites to perform certain tasks or training activities, for example, pulmonary function testing for respiratory protection, if required.
Must be legally eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
