Responsibilities & Qualifications

Primary Responsibilities

Planning & Coordination

Develop and implement piping installation and testing plans.
Coordinate with other disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation and control.

Execution & Oversight

Oversee the installation of piping systems, including pipe fitting, welding, and insulation.
Perform hydrotesting and pneumatic testing of piping systems.
Monitor and document construction and startup progress.

Proplem Solving

Troubleshoot and resolve piping system issues.
Provide technical guidance and support to the construction and startup teams.

Compliance & Risk Management

Ensure compliance with piping codes and standards, such as ASME B31.1 and B31.3.
Identify and mitigate potential piping-related risks.

Safety

Adhere to safety regulations and procedures.
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
10+ years of experience in piping construction and installation.
Strong understanding of piping materials, fittings, and welding techniques.
Ability to read and interpret piping isometrics and P&IDs.
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification.
Technical certifications in welding inspection or piping design.
Experience with specific piping materials, such as carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy steel.
Knowledge of piping stress analysis and vibration analysis.

Requirements

Basic computer skills.

Strong verbal, written, analytical and interpersonal skills.

Excellent customer, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently.

Ability to complete multiple projects within time constraints.

Strong organizational skills.

Valid jurisdictional driver license.

Ability to work holidays, weekends, and overtime.

Ability to work both indoors and outdoors, requiring physical activity, including climbing ladders, working at elevations, bending, twisting, kneeling, crawling, pushing/pulling, standing, walking, and lifting 50 pounds.

Ability to work in areas that may be noisy, cold, hot, dirty, and able to wear personal protective equipment.
Ability to meet appropriate physical requirements as determined by corporate Health & Safety Department as prerequisites to perform certain tasks or training activities, for example, pulmonary function testing for respiratory protection, if required.
Must be legally eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
