Responsibilities & Qualifications

Primary Responsibilities

Equipment Maintenance & Inspection

Inspect and maintain mechanical components.
Conduct regular checks and preventative maintenance on turbines, compressors, combustors, and other equipment.
Replace worn or damaged components, following manufacturer specifications.

Mechanical Troubleshooting & Repair

Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues.
Diagnose and resolve problems to ensure optimal plant performance.

Team Collaboration

Collaborate with electrical, instrumentation, and control technicians to coordinate maintenance activities.

Safety

Adhere to and ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures.
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
5+ years of experience in mechanical startup and commissioning.
Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including pumps, compressors, turbines, and heat exchangers.
Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Ability to read and interpret P&IDs and mechanical drawings.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Willingness to work overtime and travel to project sites as needed.

Requirements

Basic computer skills.

Strong verbal, written, analytical and interpersonal skills.

Excellent customer, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently.

Ability to complete multiple projects within time constraints.

Strong organizational skills.

Valid jurisdictional driver license.

Ability to work holidays, weekends, and overtime.

Ability to work both indoors and outdoors, requiring physical activity, including climbing ladders, working at elevations, bending, twisting, kneeling, crawling, pushing/pulling, standing, walking, and lifting 50 pounds

Ability to work in areas that may be noisy, cold, hot, dirty, and able to wear personal protective equipment.

Ability to meet appropriate physical requirements as determined by corporate Health & Safety Department as prerequisites to perform certain tasks or training activities, for example, pulmonary function testing for respiratory protection, if required.
Must be legally eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
