Responsibilities & Qualifications

Primary Responsibilities

Installation & Alignment

Install and align steam turbines.
Assemble and position components according to engineering drawings and specifications.

Preventive Maintenance

Perform preventive maintenance.
Inspect, clean, and lubricate turbine components to ensure optimal performance.

Corrective Maintenance & Repair

Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues.
Diagnose and resolve problems with turbines, valves, and other components.
Replace worn or damaged parts.
Install new or refurbished components following manufacturer guidelines.

Communication

Collaborate with electrical, instrumentation, and control technicians to coordinate maintenance activities.

Safety

Adhere to safety regulations and procedures.
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Qualifications

Technical or vocational training in mechanical engineering or a related field.
Experience working with steam turbines or similar machinery.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and safety awareness.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Requirements

Basic computer skills.

Strong verbal, written, analytical and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently.

Ability to complete multiple projects within time constraints.

Valid jurisdictional driver license.

Ability to work holidays, weekends, and overtime.

Ability to work both indoors and outdoors, requiring physical activity, including climbing ladders, working at elevations, bending, twisting, kneeling, crawling, pushing/pulling, standing, walking, and lifting 50 pounds.

Ability to work in areas that may be noisy, cold, hot, dirty, and able to wear personal protective equipment.
Ability to meet appropriate physical requirements as determined by corporate Health & Safety Department as prerequisites to perform certain tasks or training activities, for example, pulmonary function testing for respiratory protection, if required.
Must be legally eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
