Responsibilities & Qualifications

Primary Responsibilities

Project Planning & Management

Develop detailed project schedules and budgets.
Allocate resources effectively.
Monitor project progress and make adjustments as needed.
Coordinate with engineers, technicians, and other stakeholders.

Team Leadership

Hire, train, and supervise instrumentation technicians and field personnel.
Motivate and inspire the team to achieve project goals.
Resolve conflicts and address employee concerns.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback.

Instrumentation, Installation & Calibration

Ensure the accurate installation of instruments, transmitters, and control valves.
Calibrate instruments to ensure accurate readings.
Perform loop checks and functional tests.
Troubleshoot and resolve instrumentation issues.

Quality Assurance

Enforce quality standards and procedures.
Conduct quality inspections and tests.
Identify and address quality issues.

Safety

Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Implement and enforce safety protocols.
Conduct safety training and toolbox talks.
Investigate accidents and incidents.
Promote a safety-first culture.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field.
Extensive experience in instrumentation and control systems.
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of instrumentation and control systems, including PLC, DCS, and field devices.
Understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Certified Control Systems Technician (CCST) certification.
Experience with industry standards (e.g., ISA, IEC).
Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software.

Requirements

Basic computer skills.

Strong verbal, written, analytical and interpersonal skills.

Excellent customer, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently.

Ability to complete multiple projects within time constraints.

Strong organizational skills.

Valid jurisdictional driver license.

Ability to work holidays, weekends, and overtime.

Ability to work both indoors and outdoors, requiring physical activity, including climbing ladders, working at elevations, bending, twisting, kneeling, crawling, pushing/pulling, standing, walking, and lifting 50 pounds.

Ability to work in areas that may be noisy, cold, hot, dirty, and able to wear personal protective equipment.
Ability to meet appropriate physical requirements as determined by corporate Health & Safety Department as prerequisites to perform certain tasks or training activities, for example, pulmonary function testing for respiratory protection, if required.
Must be legally eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
