Responsibilities & Qualifications

Primary Responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution

- Develop and implement HRSG construction and startup plans.
- Coordinate with other disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation and control.
- Monitor and document construction and startup progress.

Technical Oversight & Quality Assurance

- Oversee the installation of HRSG components, including economizers, superheaters, and reheaters.
- Perform system functional tests and performance testing.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical guidance and support to the construction and startup teams.

Problem Solving & Risk Management

- Troubleshoot and resolve HRSG system issues.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks.

Safety

Adhere to safety regulations and procedures.
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
10+ years of experience in HRSG construction and startup.
Strong understanding of HRSG design, operation, and maintenance.
Knowledge of boiler and turbine systems.
Ability to read and interpret P&IDs and mechanical drawings.
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification.
Technical certifications in power plant engineering or related fields.
Experience with specific HRSG manufacturers and technologies.
Knowledge of ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code.

Requirements

Basic computer skills.

Strong verbal, written, analytical and interpersonal skills.

Excellent customer, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently.

Ability to complete multiple projects within time constraints.

Strong organizational skills.

Valid jurisdictional driver license.

Ability to work holidays, weekends, and overtime.

Ability to work both indoors and outdoors, requiring physical activity, including climbing ladders, working at elevations, bending, twisting, kneeling, crawling, pushing/pulling, standing, walking, and lifting 50 pounds.

Ability to work in areas that may be noisy, cold, hot, dirty, and able to wear personal protective equipment.
Ability to meet appropriate physical requirements as determined by corporate Health & Safety Department as prerequisites to perform certain tasks or training activities, for example, pulmonary function testing for respiratory protection, if required.
Must be legally eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
