Responsibilities & Qualifications

Primary Responsibilities

Technical Support & Troubleshooting

Provide expert-level technical support for complex issues related to gas turbine performance, controls, and components.
Advise on troubleshooting procedures and recommend effective solutions to minimize downtime.

Maintenance

Develop and optimize maintenance strategies.
Review maintenance scopes, ensuring they align with technical specifications and best practices.

Performance Monitoring & Optimization

Monitor gas turbine performance metrics and identify opportunities for optimization.
Utilize data analysis tools to predict potential failures and recommend proactive maintenance actions.
Advise on the implementation of new technologies or upgrades to improve asset performance and efficiency.

Documentation & Reporting

Maintain detailed records of technical issues, maintenance activities, and modifications.
Prepare comprehensive technical reports.
Create and update technical documentation as required.

Safety

Adhere to safety regulations and procedures.
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Participate in safety audits and hazard analysis related to gas turbine operations.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
Experience in the power generation industry, with significant hands-on experience with gas turbine technology.
In-depth knowledge of gas turbine design, operation, and maintenance (e.g., GE, Siemens, Mitsubishi, etc.).
Proven experience with turbine controls systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to explain complex technical concepts to a wide range of audiences.

Requirements

Ability to work independently.

Ability to complete multiple projects within time constraints.

Strong organizational skills.

Valid jurisdictional driver license.

Ability to work holidays, weekends, and overtime.

Ability to work both indoors and outdoors, requiring physical activity, including climbing ladders, working at elevations, bending, twisting, kneeling, crawling, pushing/pulling, standing, walking, and lifting 50 pounds.

Ability to work in areas that may be noisy, cold, hot, dirty, and able to wear personal protective equipment.
Ability to meet appropriate physical requirements as determined by corporate Health & Safety Department as prerequisites to perform certain tasks or training activities, for example, pulmonary function testing for respiratory protection, if required.
Must be legally eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
