As an electrical foreman for APS Solutions, you will serve as the onsite commander of advanced energy projects. You will oversee a crew of skilled electricians, translating technical schematics into reality as you manage the installation of critical switchgear, buswork, and control systems. Responsibilities & Qualifications

Primary Responsibilities

Leadership

Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of journeymen and apprentice electricians.
Assign tasks based on skill level and project deadlines.
Conduct daily “tailgate” safety meetings.
Mentor/train apprentices to ensure long-term growth of the field team.

Technical Oversight

Read and interpret one-line diagrams, schematics, and blueprints to ensure accurate installation of switchgear, transformers, and control systems.
Perform rigorous testing and inspections on electrical work to ensure compliance.
Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols.

Reporting & Collaboration

Track material inventory and manage tool requirements.
Provide documentation and reports as required.
Coordinate with Project Managers to hit milestones.

Safety

Adhere to safety regulations and procedures.
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Follow lockout-tagout procedures.

Qualifications

Experience in industrial electrical work, in a leadership/supervisory role.
Valid Journeyman or Master Electrician license.
Deep familiarity with high-voltage systems (15kV–500kV), medium-voltage terminations, and rigid conduit installation.
Proficiency in reading complex electrical schematics and using testing equipment.
Ability to manage crew dynamics and solve site-level disputes professionally.
Ability to Identify bottlenecks in the construction process and implement workflow improvements.

Requirements

Basic computer skills.

Strong verbal, written, analytical and interpersonal skills.

Excellent customer, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently.

Ability to complete multiple projects within time constraints.

Strong organizational skills.

Valid jurisdictional driver license.

Ability to work holidays, weekends, and overtime.

Ability to work both indoors and outdoors, requiring physical activity, including climbing ladders, working at elevations, bending, twisting, kneeling, crawling, pushing/pulling, standing, walking, and lifting 50 pounds.

Ability to work in areas that may be noisy, cold, hot, dirty, and able to wear personal protective equipment.
Ability to meet appropriate physical requirements as determined by corporate Health & Safety Department as prerequisites to perform certain tasks or training activities, for example, pulmonary function testing for respiratory protection, if required.
Must be legally eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
