Job Overview

An electrical commissioning tech (solar PV) focuses on utility-scale and commercial solar photovoltaic (PV) projects. The technician is responsible for the final electrical testing, quality assurance, start-up, and troubleshooting of solar power plants to ensure they operate safely, reliably, and to design specifications before being handed over to the operations and maintenance team. 

As an electrical commissioning tech (solar PV) working with APS Solutions, your core mission will be to ensure newly constructed solar projects are safe, compliant, and ready for commercial operation. You will execute the final, critical steps of the project, including performing electrical testing and verifying performance and integrity. Ultimately, you will be the technical expert responsible for troubleshooting any electrical anomalies, confirming the installation adheres to design specifications and grid codes, to successfully energize the solar power plant.
