Responsibilities & Qualifications

Primary Responsibilities

Planning and Implementation

- Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive EHS plans and programs for construction projects.

- Collaborate with project management teams to integrate EHS considerations into project planning and execution.

Safety and Compliance

- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and risks.

- Investigate accidents and incidents, implement corrective actions, and track prevention measures.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local EHS regulations.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure compliance with EHS standards.

- Manage EHS documentation and reporting requirements.

Communication

- Develop and deliver safety training programs for all project personnel.

- Promote a positive safety culture and foster a commitment to EHS among all project personnel.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in safety engineering, environmental science, or a related field.
Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) certification preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction EHS management.
Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and other applicable safety standards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
Experience with environmental impact assessments and permitting.
Knowledge of emergency response procedures.
Proficiency in safety management software and tools.

Requirements

Basic computer skills.

Strong verbal, written, analytical and interpersonal skills.

Excellent customer, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently.

Ability to complete multiple projects within time constraints.

Strong organizational skills.

Valid jurisdictional driver license.

Ability to work holidays, weekends, and overtime.

Ability to work both indoors and outdoors, requiring physical activity, including climbing ladders, working at elevations, bending, twisting, kneeling, crawling, pushing/pulling, standing, walking, and lifting 50 pounds

Ability to work in areas that may be noisy, cold, hot, dirty, and able to wear personal protective equipment.

Ability to meet appropriate physical requirements as determined by corporate Health & Safety Department as prerequisites to perform certain tasks or training activities, for example, pulmonary function testing for respiratory protection, if required.
Must be legally eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
