Responsibilities & Qualifications

Primary Responsibilities

Design & Development

Design and configure DCS systems to meet the specific requirements of plant processes.
Develop and implement control strategies and algorithms.
Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration of DCS systems.

Implementation & Support

Troubleshoot and resolve DCS system issues.
Provide technical support to plant operators and maintenance personnel.

Maintenance & Evolution

Update and maintain DCS system documentation.
Stay current with the latest DCS technologies and trends.

Safety

Adhere to safety regulations and procedures.
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, control engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in DCS engineering.
Strong knowledge of DCS hardware, software, and networking.
Experience with programming languages such as ladder logic, function block diagrams, or sequential function charts.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience with industrial automation systems (PLC, SCADA).
Knowledge of process control theory and instrumentation.
Familiarity with safety instrumented systems (SIS).

Requirements

Basic computer skills.

Strong verbal, written, analytical and interpersonal skills.

Excellent customer, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently.

Ability to complete multiple projects within time constraints.

Strong organizational skills.

Valid jurisdictional driver license.

Ability to work holidays, weekends, and overtime.

Ability to work both indoors and outdoors, requiring physical activity, including climbing ladders, working at elevations, bending, twisting, kneeling, crawling, pushing/pulling, standing, walking, and lifting 50 pounds.

Ability to work in areas that may be noisy, cold, hot, dirty, and able to wear personal protective equipment.
Ability to meet appropriate physical requirements as determined by corporate Health & Safety Department as prerequisites to perform certain tasks or training activities, for example, pulmonary function testing for respiratory protection, if required.
Must be legally eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
