Controls TFA

Job Overview

A controls TFA (technical field advisor) manages the installation, fine-tuning, and maintenance of Distributed Control Systems (DCS) that govern turbines and generators. They analyze real-time data to optimize thermal efficiency, diagnose complex communication faults across industrial networks, and execute critical logic overrides during plant outages.

As a controls TFA with APS Solutions, you will act as the critical link between complex digital logic and the physical operation of massive power generation assets. You will travel to diverse project sites—ranging from nuclear facilities to renewable energy plants—where you will lead the installation, configuration, and functional testing of advanced control components like sensors, actuators, and control computers. You will bridge the gap between software logic and heavy-duty hardware, ensuring gas turbines, steam turbines, and balance-of-plant systems operate safely and at peak performance.
