Responsibilities & Qualifications

Primary Responsibilities

System Monitoring & Control

Monitor and control operations and systems from the control room.
Operate equipment and machinery remotely, as needed.

Issue Identification & Response

Identify and troubleshoot issues in the system.
Execute emergency procedures when necessary.
Report equipment faults to maintenance teams and managers.

Documentation & Communication

Record and log all events and actions taken in a precise and clear manner.
Work with team members to achieve shared goals.
Ensure smooth transitions between shifts.

Safety

Comply with all safety and operational guidelines.
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Qualifications

Proven work experience as a Control Room Operator or similar role.
Technical proficiency and understanding of control room systems and functions.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Strong attention to detail and observational skills.
Ability to handle high-stress situations calmly and effectively.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
High school diploma or equivalent. Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field is a plus.

Ability to work independently.

Ability to complete multiple projects within time constraints.

Strong organizational skills.

Valid jurisdictional driver license.

Ability to work holidays, weekends, and overtime.

Ability to work both indoors and outdoors, requiring physical activity, including climbing ladders, working at elevations, bending, twisting, kneeling, crawling, pushing/pulling, standing, walking, and lifting 50 pounds

Ability to work in areas that may be noisy, cold, hot, dirty, and able to wear personal protective equipment.

Ability to meet appropriate physical requirements as determined by corporate Health & Safety Department as prerequisites to perform certain tasks or training activities, for example, pulmonary function testing for respiratory protection, if required.
Must be legally eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
