Responsibilities & Qualifications

Primary Responsibilities

Operational Control

Monitor and operate auxiliary equipment and systems, such as boilers, pumps, compressors, and cooling towers, to support the overall power generation process.

Repair & Maintenance

Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and minor repairs on auxiliary equipment to maintain optimal operating conditions.
Respond to alarms and abnormal operating conditions, diagnose issues, and take appropriate corrective actions to minimize downtime and ensure the reliability of the combined cycle power plant.
Maintain accurate logs, records, and reports related to equipment performance, maintenance activities, and operational data.

Collaboration & Training

Collaborate with the operations and maintenance teams to identify and implement process improvements and enhance system efficiency.
Participate in training programs and maintain a thorough understanding of the plant’s systems, procedures, and safety protocols.

Safety

Adhere to safety protocols and procedures.
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent, with a strong background in operations, mechanics, or a related technical field.
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as an Auxiliary Operator or in a similar role within a power generation or industrial facility.
Proficient in the operation and maintenance of auxiliary equipment, including boilers, pumps, compressors, and cooling towers.
Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and critical thinking skills to diagnose and resolve equipment issues.
Strong attention to detail, with the ability to accurately record and report operational data.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical personnel.
Familiarity with pipeline operations and a good understanding of combined cycle power plant systems is preferred.

Strong organizational skills.

Valid jurisdictional driver license.

Ability to work holidays, weekends, and overtime.

Ability to work both indoors and outdoors, requiring physical activity, including climbing ladders, working at elevations, bending, twisting, kneeling, crawling, pushing/pulling, standing, walking, and lifting 50 pounds.

Ability to work in areas that may be noisy, cold, hot, dirty, and able to wear personal protective equipment.
Ability to meet appropriate physical requirements as determined by corporate Health & Safety Department as prerequisites to perform certain tasks or training activities, for example, pulmonary function testing for respiratory protection, if required.
Must be legally eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
