Responsibilities & Qualifications

Primary Responsibilities

Project Planning & Management

- Develop detailed project schedules and budgets.
- Allocate resources effectively.
- Monitor project progress and making adjustments as needed.
- Coordinate with engineers, surveyors, subcontractors, and clients.

Team Leadership

- Hire, train, and supervise project managers, foremen, and other field personnel.
- Motivate and inspire the team to achieve project goals.
- Resolve conflicts and addressing employee concerns.
- Conduct performance evaluations and providing feedback.

Quality Control

- Enforce quality standards and procedures.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance.
- Identify and address quality issues.

Environmental Compliance

- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and permits.
- Implement erosion control measures and other environmental best practices.

Safety

Implement and enforce safety protocols.
Conduct safety training and toolbox talks.
Investigate accidents and incidents.
Promote a safety-first culture.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
Extensive experience in civil construction.
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to read and interpret engineering plans and specifications.
Knowledge of construction safety regulations.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Professional Engineer (PE) license.
Project management certification (e.g., PMP).
Experience with construction software (e.g., Procore, Primavera).

Requirements

Basic computer skills.

Strong verbal, written, analytical and interpersonal skills.

Excellent customer, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently.

Ability to complete multiple projects within time constraints.

Strong organizational skills.

Valid jurisdictional driver license.

Ability to work holidays, weekends, and overtime.

Ability to work both indoors and outdoors, requiring physical activity, including climbing ladders, working at elevations, bending, twisting, kneeling, crawling, pushing/pulling, standing, walking, and lifting 50 pounds.

Ability to work in areas that may be noisy, cold, hot, dirty, and able to wear personal protective equipment.

Ability to meet appropriate physical requirements as determined by corporate Health & Safety Department as prerequisites to perform certain tasks or training activities, for example, pulmonary function testing for respiratory protection, if required.
Must be legally eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
