Responsibilities & Qualifications

Primary Responsibilities

Rigging Planning

Analyze rigging requirements and develop safe and efficient rigging plans.
Calculate load weights and determine the appropriate rigging equipment.
Identify potential hazards and developing mitigation strategies.

Rigging Operations

Assemble and disassemble rigging equipment, such as slings, chains, and cables.
Attach loads to rigging equipment using proper techniques.
Signal crane operators to lift and move loads.
Position loads accurately and safely.

Documentation

Maintain accurate records of rigging activities, including load weights, equipment used, and inspection results.
Complete required paperwork and certifications.

Safety

Adhere to OSHA and industry safety standards.
Conduct pre-lift inspections of rigging equipment and load conditions.
Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Identify and address potential hazards.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Certified Rigger certification from a recognized certification body.
Extensive experience in rigging operations.
Strong knowledge of rigging techniques, load calculations, and safety procedures.
Physical fitness to lift heavy objects and work in challenging conditions.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Experience with crane operation.
Knowledge of specialized rigging equipment, such as hydraulic jacks and winches.
Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights.

Requirements

Basic computer skills.

Strong verbal, written, analytical and interpersonal skills.

Excellent customer, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently.

Ability to complete multiple projects within time constraints.

Strong organizational skills.

Valid jurisdictional driver license.

Ability to work holidays, weekends, and overtime.

Ability to work both indoors and outdoors, requiring physical activity, including climbing ladders, working at elevations, bending, twisting, kneeling, crawling, pushing/pulling, standing, walking, and lifting 50 pounds.

Ability to work in areas that may be noisy, cold, hot, dirty, and able to wear personal protective equipment.

Ability to meet appropriate physical requirements as determined by corporate Health & Safety Department as prerequisites to perform certain tasks or training activities, for example, pulmonary function testing for respiratory protection, if required.
Must be legally eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
