Job Functions & Qualifications

Essential Job Functions

Uphold safety requirements and compliance in accordance with current policies.

Maintain a clean and orderly workspace to promote safety and prevent FOD.

Work individually and in teams to support continuous improvement projects

Work required hours as requested to meet production and customer needs.

Identifying opportunities for Field Services group (Power Plant turnarounds, outages, boiler refurbishments, turbine replacement and repair, etc.)

Growing and managing multiple accounts at senior levels of the client organization

Must be able to identify potential business opportunities using existing relationships, industry knowledge and market research.

Consultative selling proficiency and fostering lasting client relationships are required.

Add value to all commercial aspects of deals including terms and conditions, pricing, margins, costs sheets, client billings, proposal preparation, company branding, and associated items.

Extensive client interaction to conduct, hold, schedule, strategize, and meet with clients.

Qualifications

Must possess four years of previous commercial or industrial electrical experience.
Ability to work in a fast passed manufacturing environment.

A thorough knowledge of electronic/electrical components and equipment including the use of special instrumentation for diagnostic purposes.

Must be able to work well with all levels of personnel individually or in a team environment.

High degree of precision working with minimum tolerances.

Must be willing to travel as required.

Must be highly safety conscious.

Technical competence (understanding software, hardware, networks, etc.)

Travel may be required.

Functions for This Job

Exposed to high voltage electricity.

Ability to climb in overhead structures; work beneath machines and in close quarters performing installation, analysis, and repair work.

Ability to walk construction site, climb ladders, climb stairs, walk on uneven ground, lift a minimum of 50 lbs., ability to regularly be exposed to sun and varied weather conditions.

Well organized, ability to multi-task, analyze/interpret and make a rational decision, verbal, written and math skills a must.

Duties

Perform routine tasks under direct supervision.

 Conduit bending and installation.

 Quality trim-out installations

 Wire pulling procedures.

 Wall rough-in.

 Fixture rough-in.

Demonstrate proper care of tools and equipment.

Demonstrate a basic knowledge of blueprint reading.

Install all sizes of conduit and cable both branch and feeder.

Terminate junction boxes.

Install fixture connections and underground and under slab rough-in.

Operate equipment, trenches, personal lifts, and company trucks.

Demonstrate an understanding of all classes of hazardous locations, seals, components, and equipment.

Layout from field sketches.

Terminate panels, switchboards, single and three phase transformers: and motors and motor controllers.

Perform two weeks look ahead for tools, material, and Labor Tracking.

Demonstrate the ability to receive and account for materials delivered to the job site.

Plan, layout and install branch circuitry.

Install and bond panels, transformers, feeder conduit and wire, and other service equipment.

Troubleshoot and correct short circuits and ground fault circuits.

Demonstrate the ability to complete required paperwork in a timely fashion.

Possess the ability to read blueprints and ability to terminate cable.

Install and trouble shoot control wiring from drawings.

Train helpers and apprentices who work within site safety and installation skills.

Requirements

Basic computer skills.

Strong verbal, written, analytical and interpersonal skills.

Excellent customer, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently.

Ability to complete multiple projects within time constraints.

Strong organizational skills.

Valid jurisdictional driver license.

Ability to work holidays, weekends, and overtime.

Ability to work both indoors and outdoors, requiring physical activity, including climbing ladders, working at elevations, bending, twisting, kneeling, crawling, pushing/pulling, standing, walking, and lifting 50 pounds

Ability to work in areas that may be noisy, cold, hot, dirty, and able to wear personal protective equipment.

Ability to meet appropriate physical requirements as determined by corporate Health & Safety Department as prerequisites to perform certain tasks or training activities, for example, pulmonary function testing for respiratory protection, if required.

Must be legally eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
