Responsibilities & Qualifications

Primary Responsibilities

Operation & Performance

Monitor and control gas turbine operations, including starting, stopping, and adjusting parameters.
Monitor and record performance data, such as temperature, pressure, and fuel consumption.

Safety & Maintenance

Ensure safe and efficient operation of gas turbine equipment, following all safety procedures and guidelines.
Identify and troubleshoot problems with gas turbine equipment.
Perform routine maintenance and inspections on gas turbine equipment.
Respond to alarms and emergencies as needed.

Coordination & Communication

Coordinate with other plant personnel, including engineers, technicians, and maintenance staff.

Safety

Adhere to safety regulations and procedures.
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience in power plant operations or a related field.
Strong understanding of gas turbine technology and principles.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and instrumentation.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
Experience with computerized control systems (DCS, PLC).
Knowledge of safety instrumented systems (SIS).
Familiarity with gas turbine maintenance and repair procedures

Requirements

Basic computer skills.

Strong verbal, written, analytical and interpersonal skills.

Excellent customer, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently.

Ability to complete multiple projects within time constraints.

Strong organizational skills.

Valid jurisdictional driver license.

Ability to work holidays, weekends, and overtime.

Ability to work both indoors and outdoors, requiring physical activity, including climbing ladders, working at elevations, bending, twisting, kneeling, crawling, pushing/pulling, standing, walking, and lifting 50 pounds

Ability to work in areas that may be noisy, cold, hot, dirty, and able to wear personal protective equipment.

Ability to meet appropriate physical requirements as determined by corporate Health & Safety Department as prerequisites to perform certain tasks or training activities, for example, pulmonary function testing for respiratory protection, if required.
Must be legally eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
