Responsibilities & Qualifications

Primary Responsibilities

System Construction & Modification

Installation: Assemble, install, and align conveyor components such as rollers, belts, motors, and drives.
Modifications: Alter conveyor systems to meet changing production requirements.
Welding and Fabrication: Utilize welding and fabrication techniques to repair or modify conveyor components.

System Maintenance & Repair

Maintenance: Perform routine inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance on conveyor systems.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair conveyor malfunctions, including belt slippage, component failures, and misalignment.

Record Keeping

Documentation: Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities.

Safety

Adhere to safety regulations and procedures.
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Technical or vocational training in millwright work or related field preferred.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
Proficiency in welding and fabrication techniques.
Experience with conveyor systems and components.
Physical ability to lift heavy objects, work in confined spaces, and stand for extended periods.

Requirements

Basic computer skills.

Strong verbal, written, analytical and interpersonal skills.

Excellent customer, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently.

Ability to complete multiple projects within time constraints.

Strong organizational skills.

Valid jurisdictional driver license.

Ability to work holidays, weekends, and overtime.

Ability to work both indoors and outdoors, requiring physical activity, including climbing ladders, working at elevations, bending, twisting, kneeling, crawling, pushing/pulling, standing, walking, and lifting 50 pounds

Ability to work in areas that may be noisy, cold, hot, dirty, and able to wear personal protective equipment.

Ability to meet appropriate physical requirements as determined by corporate Health & Safety Department as prerequisites to perform certain tasks or training activities, for example, pulmonary function testing for respiratory protection, if required.
Must be legally eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
