Job Overview

A lead I&C startup/commissioning engineer is responsible for directing all Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) systems commissioning, testing, and startup activities for new power generation facilities, substations, or large-scale energy projects. They are the primary on-site technical authority ensuring that control systems are ready for safe commercial operation.

As a lead I&C startup/commissioning engineer for APS Solutions, you will lead the on-site team that tests, calibrates, and verifies I&C systems—including sensors, transmitters, controllers, and final control elements—to ensure they meet design specifications and function correctly. You will oversee the execution of commissioning procedures, troubleshoot issues, and manage the final system turnovers to the client. Essentially, you’re the one who validates that the control systems are ready to safely and efficiently run the plant.
