Responsibilities & Qualifications

Primary Responsibilities

Operational Control

Monitor and control the operation of the combined cycle power plant, including turbines, boilers, and associated equipment.
Analyze real-time data and make adjustments to maintain optimal plant performance and efficiency.

Troubleshooting & Maintenance

Respond to alarms and incidents, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with maintenance and engineering teams.
Maintain detailed logs and records of plant operations and activities.

Collaboration

Assist with the implementation of safety protocols and environmental compliance measures.
Collaborate with pipeline operations personnel to ensure the integrated system functions smoothly.

Safety

Adhere to safety regulations and procedures.
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Qualifications

Experience as a control room operator in a combined cycle power plant or similar industrial facility.
Strong understanding of power plant operations, including turbine, boiler, and auxiliary systems.
Proficiency in interpreting and responding to control room instrumentation and data.
Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Familiarity with pipeline operations and integration with power generation systems is preferred.
Relevant certifications, such as a Power Plant Operator certification, are highly desirable.

Ability to work independently.

Ability to complete multiple projects within time constraints.

Strong organizational skills.

Valid jurisdictional driver license.

Ability to work holidays, weekends, and overtime.

Ability to work both indoors and outdoors, requiring physical activity, including climbing ladders, working at elevations, bending, twisting, kneeling, crawling, pushing/pulling, standing, walking, and lifting 50 pounds.

Ability to work in areas that may be noisy, cold, hot, dirty, and able to wear personal protective equipment.
Ability to meet appropriate physical requirements as determined by corporate Health & Safety Department as prerequisites to perform certain tasks or training activities, for example, pulmonary function testing for respiratory protection, if required.
Must be legally eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
